As was stated in the letter, we recently upgraded our software. One of the features is the ability to allow our patients to check-in with a fingerprint scan. Since we all have  privacy and security concerns, I spoke with the software vendor and then the software company, both assured me that using just the ten markers that are remembered by the software, “fingerprints can not be viewed,  printed or reconstructed in any way from the stored data”.

While we think you child(ren) will enjoy this little application, you may decline to allow us to scan their fingerprints and we will check them in the conventional way without the need for you to do anything.
